If your iPhone is encountering an error messages “No Sim Card Installed” or “Invalid Sim Card” or “Insert Sim Card” that indicates that your sim card is broken or missing. However such error messages are known to appear even with a perfect sim card also. iPhone is little thinner than some sim cards. So this problem might have happened because of this issue.

1)Update to the Latest Version of ios:

Make sure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of ios. If you are not sure, follow the steps given below to check whether there is an update for your iPhone.

2) Restart iPhone:

In case if you have not tried this, simply restart your device and see if the problem has gone or not.

Step 1: Hold the home button and power button at the same time for 10 seconds. You see the slide to power OFF button on the screen of your iPhone.

Step 2: Power OFF your iPhone by using the slider and wait for 30 seconds.

Step 3: Now, press the home and power button to turn ON your iPhone again.

3) Turn ON/OFF Airplane Mode:

Turn ON Airplane mode and turn it OFF again to fix NO SIM CARD error has been recommended on Apple’s website.

Step 1: Tap on “Settings” on your iPhone screen.

Step 2: On the setting screen and toggle ON airplane mode by moving the slide to ON position (Green).

4) Check SIM Tray and Card:

Step 1: Remove your sim card from your iPhone and make sure that there is no dust on the sim tray. You can also blow into the sim card slot on the iPhone to remove any dust and put back the sim card again.

Step 2: In case if you have an unlocked iPhone, try replacing the sim card on your iPhone with a sim card from other iPhone and see that whether it is working or not. Alternatively, you can also try using your sim card on another iPhone and see if it works.

Step 3: Make sure that sim card tray is completely closed.

5) Rule Out Water Damage:

Step 1: Take a close look inside the sim tray open and if you a white circular sticker. If the sticker is all white or silver your device is free from water or liquid damage.

Step 2: Otherwise if you see the white sticker with a red dot in the middle of sim tray, it means that your iPhone got damaged with water or liquid containing water at some point.
